Your Wedding

Your Wedding: A typical story......

Tangent Strings would have set up long before the wedding guests started to arrive. As they enter the venue, they will be greeted by uplifting music, such as Handel's 'Water Music' and Bach's 'Loure'. The guests are put at ease, and the music sets a great atmosphere, one of anticipation. Everyone waits eagerly for the bride.

The bride finally arrives, breathless, beautiful and radiant. Her groom nervously looks over his shoulder and smiles...she returns his smile...

The Music bursts forth, enveloping her as she walks down the aisle. Naturally, the music being played is her own choice. The opening piece sets the tone for one of the most important days in any woman's life......

As the service progresses, the congregation may join Tangent Strings for a hymn .

For some of the more moving moments of the wedding, such as the lighting of the candle, and the signing of the register, beautiful music such as Bach's 'Air', 'Ave Maria', Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'Pie Jesu', or Josh Groban's 'You Raise Me Up' are sure to leave no guest unmoved.

Finally, the bride and groom are ready to be presented to the world as a married couple. And the music will sweep you out of the ceremony, in majestic, joyful celebration. The sweet tones of Tangent Strings linger whilst the guests congratulate the bridal couple.

For the pre-reception cocktail function, the mood is joyful and celebratory. And the music reflects this mood, moving to lighter classics, such as Waltzes, Polkas, Tangos, Rags and Jazz numbers. Whilst the couple are having their photographs taken, rest assured, the guests are being entertained.

Finally, as the bridal couple arrive, Tangent Strings departs, allowing the reception to run and the party to begin......

This scenario usually takes between two and two and a half hours. If you wish, Tangent Strings can accompany singers or provide singers who will really ensure that every guest is emotionally involved in the ceremony!
